Laser Tattoo Removal works by breaking down the ink molecules in your tattoo into smaller pieces which allows them to be absorbed into the bloodstream where your body will then flush it out of your system causing the ink to disappear over time. The ink in a tattoo is injected into the second layer of the skin and as it is larger than your blood, will stay there permanently. This means that the method of Laser Tattoo Removal is the only effective way to break down that ink, unlike creams or injections that claim to do the same. Laser Tattoo removal will gradually break down the ink over an average span of 8-12 sessions spaced 8-12 weeks apart. Enlarged pores are a common concern for many clients. Pores are where the hair follicle exits the skin and where the oil gland exits the skin and releases our body's natural moisture. When dead skin cells get clogged deep inside a pore, it creates a blackhead & if the clog is more toward the surface, it becomes a whitehead. Inflamed pores become acne, and the oil gland swelling around the clogged pore leads to a cyst. Treatments include chemical peels to exfoliate and help prevent clogging and retinol to stimulate cell turnover and build up collagen. SkinPen is a medical microneedling device that is an effective method for treating acne scars. It works by puncturing the skin with multiple small sterilized needles causing a controlled wound triggering a healing response that releases growth factors to stimulate collagen & elastin production to plump up the skin. It usually takes up to 3 months to see the results and multiple sessions are recommended. SkinPen can be used on all skin types.

Dermal fillers are priced per 1ml syringe. The number of mls or syringes required will depend on your aesthetic goals & which areas of the face are treated, such as cheeks, tear troughs, jawline, chin, lips & temples. This varies for each individual. Your clinician will assess you and determine a treatment plan that can start with a 1ml or more on your first treatment & add more at future appointments to suit your budget & achieve your aesthetic goals.

Downtime depends on the settings used, generally it is 4-7 days. Light treatments or a 'freshen up' treatment only requires 2-3 days downtime. If you are wanting to treat lines & wrinkles, texture, tone or acne scars, the settings used will be more aggressive & require 4-7 days downtime. The condition of the skin, age of patient and how much downtime their schedule will allow determines the settings used. We can also focus on areas of concern, such as crows feet, upper lip lines, acordion lines, necklace lines on the neck & do a lighter treatment on surrounding areas. The treatment is tailored to the patient, their skin concerns and downtime their schedule will allow.

Brown, grey or bluish grey patches of pigment that appear mainly on forehead, cheeks, chin, upper lip & sometimes the neck.Triggers can be the contraceptive pill, pregnancy, hormone therapy and sun exposure. Darker skins are more susceptible. The most effective treatment for melasma is Dermamelan Depigmenting system & cosmeceutical skincare containing kojic acid & azelaic acid and year round use of an SPF will help lighten pigment and supress melanocyte activity. Ongoing treatment & use of cosmeceutical skincare is required to manage the condition.
