Business profile

Lying to the south of Stirling Gardens, these gardens face the river and constitute one of the City's water-front charms. On warm summer evenings, people gather in thousands to hear a concert in the orchestral shell. The annual 'Carols by Candlelight' each Christmas draws thousands of singers and the gardens transform into a wonderland of flickering candle flames. Beside the Supreme Court building is the City's original Court House (built in 1836). Now restored, complete with wood shingled roof, it retains its links with the legal fraternity as the home of the Law Society. The Court House was also one of the early homes of the Perth City Council's forerunner, the Perth Town Trust. Its presence so close to the present day Council headquarters is a happy coincidence.
