  Looking for peace and tranquility? Somewhere to recharge your batteries? Myrtle Creek Cottages is just the place. Nestled in the foothills of Mt. Stanley, situated on 160 acres of pasture land and flanked by two pristine mountain streams, the property offers stunning scenery with Mt. Stanley reserve to the north and pine plantations to the south and west. An ideal place to relax, unwind and enjoy native birds, or to use as a base to explore nearby wineries, snowfields, Murray to Mountain Rail trail, fruit, berry and nut farms, historic towns, etc. We are just 10 kilometres from Myrtleford off the Great Alpine Road. 30 minutes drive from Wangaratta. We breed sheep and cattle and our guests and children are welcome to explore the farm and enjoy the animals, hand feed the sheep, goats, horses, geese and chooks, gather eggs. Go fishing in one of the dams or nearby streams. The kids will really love the calves in Autumn and the lambs in Spring. Guests can bottle feed lambs & calves in season. We also have a huge Greenhouse in which we grow Hydroponic Vegetables & invite our guests to view this operation. Our cabins are purpose built authentic log construction, cosy and very comfortable. Featuring a full size twin spa bath, separate toilet, laundry, large main bedroom with queen size bed, second bedroom has double bed and two large single beds. All beds have electric blankets. Cot & high chair available. Heated by gas log fire and cooled by ceiling fans in all rooms & evaporative cooler in lounge room. Undercover parking provided. The large well equipped kitchen allows full self contained accommodation, or we supply fresh provisions for a country style breakfast on request. Undercover barbecue facilities. You can also bring your pets with you - by prior arrangement.
