Chris began her career asa primary school teacher. Followinga number of years in the classroom she undertook a Bachelor of Social Workdegree and worked as a social worker with the Department of Education for 13years.She had 2 years out of thedepartment to work in the 'Professional and Education Unit' of the Departmentof Human Services.Her work thereinvolved training professionals to identify and respond to child abuse andneglect. As a trained social workerand teacher Chris has extensive experience in working directly with childrenand adolescents and supporting staff. She now works as a Training andDevelopment Consultant, providing consultancy to a wide range of private andpublic sector organisations.Chrishas facilitated many successful professional development sessions for organisationson a range of topics ranging from staff/student welfare to organisationalhealth issues within the private and public sectors.She has worked with staff to; develop leadership qualities,challenge and develop performance cultures, enhance team functioning andexamine/ address staff morale.
