FSC is an international, independent, non-profit organisation that certifies timber, from forests meeting the council's principles and criteria of forest stewardship providing a "chain of custody". This "chain of custody" is monitored by an independent third party and guarantees the authenticity of the original source of timber.Treeco timber also offers Merbau / Kwila decking and machined privacy screens that utilize DNA lumber. DNA Lumber is an Australian initiative that adheres to a responsible timber procurement policy whose guidelines and policies are produced by the World Wide Fund for Nature's Global Forest & Trade Network1 (WWF's GFTN). All timber is verified and recorded utilizing the independent services of Certisource in Singapore. Certisource is an advisory group Member of the World Bank F.L.E.G. process (Forest Law Enforcement and Governance) which actively seeks guidance from organisations such as the World Wildlife Fund and the Environmental Investigation Agency.
