Painter and Potter of 50 years experience.
Graduate of Glasgow School of Art.I am mainly working on abstract paintings which are of mixed media on canvas with very textured surfaces. I enjoy layers of colour and try to achieve subtle variations using the surface beneath the paint. Light sources also influence my work and geology, such as roadside cuttings where the strata of the area is visible. I also enjoy foreign landscapes and lava formations have featured almost realistically in recent works.Recent pottery include Terracotta with white slip, carvings and texture.Commissions undertaken.
