Clontarf Beach Scout Group
Clontarf Beach Scout Group is situated on the beautiful Redcliffe Peninsula and is about 30km north of Brisbane.
The Group currently has four Sections - Joeys (5 - 7), Cubs (8 - 11), Scouts (12 - 14) and Venturers (15 - 18).
"The purpose of the Scout Movement is to contribute to the education of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities".
We do things like Camping, Construction, Climbing, Cooking, Hiking, Canoeing, Biking, First Aid, and Sailing.
Scouting develops Character, Resilience, Leadership, Respect, Networking and Friendships.
Youth Members are supported by trained volunteer adult Leaders as they become increasingly involved in the management of their Scouting - We call this Youth Leading Adult Supporting.
The Youth Program is designed for each Section (age group) with an achievement pathway that encourages personal progression.
Your child's Scouting journey is a shared responsibility - shared between the volunteer Leaders and the parents. Be prepared to get involved within the Group to support the delivery of the Youth Program. Parent support roles are tailored to suit skill sets and time availability and a great way to have fun and to build lasting friendships.
