Write a reviewAvon Park Alpacas was established in October 1997, and in 2006 we relocated to 13 acres at Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula Our breeding and show suris are agisted with at Strathbogie, for ease of access to our own stud males, and to the Surilana males that we have used as part of out breeding program We maintain a record keeping system that measures and records performance for specific commercial fleece characteristics, which form the basis for our breeding program Our introduction to alpacas came in 1997 when we were driving in the country and saw a sign for an Alpaca Open Day As our herd grew we have purchased 4 magnificent in partnership with other breeders to ensure access to quality genetics at a reasonable cost
