Hoek Homes
A QUEENSLAND FAMILY BASED BUSINESS CELEBRATING 50 YEARS IN BUSINESS.
Hoek Homes was formed in 1967 as a Queensland family partnership. Dean Hoek, company CEO, is a 3rd generation builder. Our company has been established in the Brisbane area for 50 years. During this time we have built a reputation with the Department of Housing, Master Builders Association, local councils and families as quality home builders who take pride in their workmanship.
With humble beginnings in Brisbane, Ern Hoek chose to move his young family to Mt Isa. Ern's younger brother and father joined them. They had landed a major contract with The Department for Housing and Housing Commission to build 50 houses. This was no mean feat as the only roads to Mt Isa in the 60s were dirt and flood affected. If you needed materials they all came by train. The project was successfully completed on time and set Ern up to return to Brisbane.
