  We are a specialist child and adolescent clinical psychology practice that provides family focused, caring, empathetic psychology services to our clients throughout the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. Jane Dobson (our clinical director) is a clinical child psychologist based in the eastern suburbs of Sydney at Lighthouse Child and Adolescent Psychology in Double Bay. Jane originally trained as an educator, earning a Diploma of Teaching and a Bachelor of Education. Her time in the classroom gave her a unique insight into the issues that children and adolescents face in an educational setting. After leaving the classroom environment, Jane went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a Masters in Psychology (Clinical). Along with this academic study, Jane has also gained practical knowledge and life experience through the last 24 years of parenting her own children. Jane believes in a holistic approach to care, working with children, adolescents, parents, teachers and carers. She has extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of young people's behavioural and emotional problems. Jane specialises in the treatment of children, adolescents and their families when there is unresolved conflict in families with separated parents. She provides this treatment in a warm family-friendly environment that puts the child or adolescent at the centre of her approach. Her objective is to support young people and their families through targeted evidence-based treatment using empathy and experience to help children, adolescents and their families overcome the many challenges they may face.
